Living Update #2
Started working on the update, tho I forgot my sketch at work. So I went off of memory and got some divs set up to start filling content into.
Nothing noteworthy tho. Sadly my legs have fallen asleep while sitting crosslegged in bed and the thought of having the rest of my body follow suit seems like a great idea. Even if it is early. Figure I’ll put the TV on sleep and be out in 15 tops.
more updates as I can.
updates in progress…

Living Updates.
Its honestly been a while since I’ve updated my site. Pretty close to two full years now. Ever since I started at TAXI I didnt see the need to actually make updates in any kind of format, blog or otherwise. Having been sucked into the twitterverse I found that way simpler to update, plus having a dedicated iphone app kinda helped this new facination. But I got to dreaming and then got to thinking and then sketching and of course procrastinating and as always have decided to do something with the no amount of time I have, however this time my idea lends itself to the idea of making minor changes over time and then eventually getting to the point where its done…. or the point that its never done and it evolves along the way.
So simply put I have a loose sketch, a stripped down flowchart of what I want to accomplish and no desire to even make a Photoshop comp of the aforementioned sketch. Everything will be built on the fly based on whats going on in my head, documented here at every time I’m done for the time being. Updates could be big, or small even not noticeable at all.. One thing that will remain constant is a header info bar giving a slight detail about this project and a link to the blog where I’ve explained it in more detail. Mostlikely this post right here.
Is this exciting at all? Hardly, but its going to provide me some sort of additional creative outlet where the rules are slightly different, which could be a good thing… at the very least.
OLPC
we at TAXI (my day job) launched the new equation site for One Laptop Per Child last week. We urge everybody to take a second to visit and make an equation. Then grab the embed code and post it on your blog, link it up on facebook or do the old fashioned thing and email it to somebody.
This was a tremendous effort accomplished by my co-workers Jeff and Matt. I sat idly by making HTML thank yous while these two cranked out this site under a deadline most people would fear.
My first osx app
So today months after getting my cocoa book I actually got to writing my first app. Well it’s the first example app from the book and in about 15 min I had a little app that generated a random number from the current time and had the ability to generate a new random seed. In total two buttons and a label plus some methods etc. Interface builder is so far the nearest thing and the code is simple roberite and easy to adapt too. Hopefully tomorrow morning I can get anithe bit if the book complete
