Flickr geotagging is possibly the best waste of precious time, I’ve had in a while. Super fun to try and remember where you took your pictures and map it. Intuitive interface, just drag and drop. Pile multiple photos taken in the same place and they get sorted by uploading order or date. Neat stuff.

If you have a flickr account you should check it out. Its under organize, last tab on the right…map.

happy taggin.

some new work from home.

at night after I put the fam to bed I sit up on my lappy and hammer out sites for friends. I’ve been doing it for a while. Helps to fill the creative void sometimes and I get free shit in returm. (thanks JOE!)

My black brother matt is a motion graphics designer, skater and all round super chill dude. I’ve been meening to make him a site for close to 2 years, we are notoriously bad at getting our shit together and thus designs sat un-used for a while. Matt came up with silkyblackgold.com a great URL. I worked up this site as a partial challenge to myself and a challenge to him to fill it with his dope work.

I think the site turned out great for the time it was given, I even learned a thing or two along the way. Under the hood there is an XML backend which matt can update, some jpegs here and there and some FLV’s round out teh assets this thing loads on the fly…. dope stuff.

enjoy silkyblackgold.com and look out for an updated franco shade site, which I started tonight.

alas it twas a good time

I should have posted this on friday, nothing like a little timestamp editing to make things a reality…..

Wednesday was my last day at Maclaren. Almost 2 years bang on to the day I started I’m moving on to different opportunities, challenges and friends. I leave behind my infamous cave of an office and some friends I hope to cross paths with again. My first agency experience after Helios taught me many things and made me grow a bit here and there in directions I didnt think about growing. I met people and clients I bonded with. Worked on brands that were exciting and new for me. And helped to furthere fine tune what I want out of both life and my career.

That pretty much sums it up, neat and tidy like.
